First, you have to log in using your academic email address in the Google login form that appears when clicking on the login button.
A list of "projects" will appear, each project is tied to a teaching module. Select the one with your current teaching module name in the project name (If the module is named "ai", you should have a project named "firstname-lastname-ai-12345")
Select a template according to your need (ask you prfessor in case of doubt).
Change the parameters of the instance if needed before creating it.
Wait for the instance to run and then you can access JupyterLab (or any service) using the buttons in the instance list at the bottom of your screen.
You need to allow pop-up windows for this website.
Only those following specific modules are allow to use the Datalab. If you think you should have access, please contact your professor.
Wait 20-30 seconds before forcing a refresh (ctrl + f5). If it still does not work, contact us.
A Google Authentication token lifetime is only one hour. If the switch is on, every hour, a window will open and automatically refresh the token.
Each instance services (like JupyterLab) are only accessible from the IP the instance was created from (your IP). It usually is requested automatically, but can be blocked by an AdBLocker, or the network, in which can you have to provide it manually. You can use https://www.whatismyip.com/ for instance to get it.
